Zaratuk Privacy Policy

Scope

This policy applies to Zaratuk websites, downloadable Power BI custom visuals, downloadable Power BI custom connectors, product documentation, and support communications. It does not apply to Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft AppSource, Microsoft Fabric, or other third-party products that you may use with Zaratuk products.

Power BI custom visuals

Zaratuk Power BI custom visuals are designed to run inside the Power BI environment where you install them. Unless a specific product page says otherwise, Zaratuk custom visuals process the report data that you bind to the visual locally within Power BI and do not send report data, model data, field values, user-entered scenario values, or visual configuration values to Zaratuk servers.

Zaratuk custom visuals do not require a Zaratuk account, do not use a Zaratuk backend for normal visual operation, and do not perform writeback to your systems unless a future product explicitly documents that behavior.

Power BI custom connectors

Zaratuk custom connectors may connect to third-party APIs that you choose to configure, such as an analytics, AI, or operational system API. In those cases, the connector sends requests from your Power BI environment to the provider you configure and returns data to Power BI. Zaratuk does not receive that provider data unless you separately send it to us for support.

Credentials and authentication for those providers are handled through Power BI and the provider's authentication flow. You should review the privacy and security terms of any provider you connect to Power BI.

Website and download information

When you visit this website, hosting and security providers may process standard request information such as IP address, browser type, user agent, referrer, requested URL, timestamps, and basic diagnostic logs.

The website may use Cloudflare Pages Analytics or similar infrastructure analytics to measure site traffic, performance, and aggregate usage patterns.

When you download a Zaratuk package, the website may record aggregate download counts by product and date. It may also record limited download event metadata such as product name, download path, referrer, and user agent to understand product usage and troubleshoot delivery issues.

This website does not intentionally set advertising cookies or sell visitor information. It may load fonts or other static assets from third-party infrastructure, which can cause your browser to make requests to those providers.

Information you provide

If you email Zaratuk, submit the contact form, or request support, we may receive your name, email address, organization, message content, attachments, screenshots, sample data, report details, or other information you choose to provide. Please avoid sending confidential production data unless it is necessary and you are authorized to share it.

How information is used

• To operate, secure, and improve the website and downloads.
• To respond to questions, support requests, and product feedback.
• To diagnose issues with Zaratuk visuals, connectors, documentation, or downloads.
• To understand product interest using aggregate download information.
• To comply with legal, security, or marketplace requirements.

Sharing and service providers

Zaratuk may use service providers for website hosting, security, email, source control, deployment, and product distribution. These providers process information only as needed to provide those services. Zaratuk does not sell personal information.

If you install or obtain a Zaratuk product through Microsoft AppSource, Power BI, GitHub, or another marketplace or platform, that platform may process information under its own privacy terms.

Retention

Zaratuk keeps support communications for as long as needed to respond, maintain business records, and improve products. Aggregate download counts may be retained for product analytics. Hosting logs and security logs are retained according to the practices of the relevant infrastructure providers.

Security

Zaratuk uses reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No website, software package, or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so you should use care when deciding what information to share.

Your choices

You can choose not to provide personal information by not contacting Zaratuk directly. If you want to request access, correction, or deletion of information you have provided to Zaratuk, contact us at info@zaratuk.ca.

Children's privacy

Zaratuk products and this website are intended for professional and business use. They are not directed to children.

Changes to this policy

Zaratuk may update this policy from time to time. When updates are made, the date at the top of this page will be changed.
